I've got 4 different Big Ten games and Wake/Clemson, but I can't watch the game that GameDay is at.

Shawn Crable might want to avoid ever going into Madison again.  Being a headhunter of QBs is not going to make you too popular.  Lloyd Carr is going ape because he is a senile old man.

If Ryan Mallet fails, its going to because his refusal to ever listen to anyone.  If he doesn't change that eventually he'll turn his teams against him.  Otherwise he has all the talent in the world.

I sit and watch my Huskers again today. I haven't missed a single minute of any game this year, and it's been a painful year to watch. It's Senior Day in Lincoln and the the Huskers will be fired up for this. 7-7 so far.

Ty Donavon just pulled off an awesome play to avoid a sack with a couple of spin moves and then found Beckum for the 1st down.

Mark May said the Big 12 isn't even close to being the best or one of the best conferences in College Football and Lou said they were the best at half time of the Wisconsin/Michigan game. I think they both are, I'd say the top 4 are really good, the next 3 or 4 are solid/decent, and the bottom few aren't that good. I'd put the Big 12 at the 3rd best conference.

Mississippi St just took the lead on Alabama, 10-9 in a soccer match.

I don't see how Michigan can beat Ohio State at this point, with the Wolverines losing to Wisconsin, and both Chad Henne and Mike Hart out.  Thoughts?

Well, don't go anywhere.  Manningham just took it to the house.

Not with Mallet and Manningham fighting with each other.  I think Hart plays next week, and with ball control anyone can win.

And Ganz already has 295+ yards, 4 TD's, 0 INTs with 12 to go in the 3rd for a second straight great game from him.  How would this season be different with a new DC and Ganz starting every game? . . .

Make that Huskers 45-10 over K State! 3 minutes into the 2nd half.

3rd time this game Michigan has gone after Donavon's head.  Got away with it this time though.

Huskers 52 Wildcats 10. Joey Ganz should have been the QB all along, this team has a lethal offense now.

I would have loved to see Ganz play all along, his mobility and obvious knowledge of the system could have made a difference in several games. With the offense playing so much better, the defense has also played better, especially today. A win against Colorado the Friday after Thanksgiving would make the Huskers bowl eligible.

The most idiotic thing about the BCS is that Michigan can STILL go to a BCS game despite this loss.

Just like Notre Dame being BCS eligible with one victory (no wait... leading for a half), like it seems to be each year. LOL

Joe Ganz now with 7 TD's, 0 INT's, 509 yards with 11 left in the 4th, Nu winning 66-17.

Why is it that when an SEC bottom feeder teams like Miss State beats teams like Alabama and Kentucky, its parody but when bottom feeder teams form other conferences pull off upsets its mediocrity?

Uh, you're forgetting about the Pac-10 and SEC.  LSU and Oregon will assuredly move up with an Ohio State loss.  Oklahoma/Kansas may not have enough in the tank to leapfrog, barring any other upsets (of course).

I think if Oklahoma plays an undefeated and number 3 BCS Kansa or 1 loss and number 5 BCS Missouri and wins handily I could see them jumping over the idle Oregon or if LSU looses. I know it doesn't seem fair but the BCS is big about what have you done this week.

I just don't know about that.  With human polls 2/3 and computers 1/3, Oklahoma's SOS may not be enough, even with Kansas losing at some point (to OU?), so the KU SOS won't be a factor either.  It's such a mess.

Well, it was nice to see that OSU fraud exposed.  They were only #1 by default, so it's nice to see they aren't able to coast into the national championship game based on their play against a weakkkkk schedule.

Jubanator touched on it, but if Oklahoma wins out (struggling with Baylor right now) or Kansas wins out I think they have a very good shot of being in there.  If Kansas wins out I think either Oregon or LSU will be moved down regardless of what they do.

I also think there's more than a decent chance that Les Miles loses a game for LSU, or Oregon falls victim to an upset.  Both of those schools have losable games coming up.

I also think its a little bit ridiculous to throw tOSU out of the national title picture.  LSU could easily lose the SEC title game, Oregon at UCLA, the Big XII could eliminate itself, West Virginia still has to go to Cincy and play UConn, Arizona State still has USC, and BC still has Clemson.

I think Ohio St will just drop too far because most of the nation had them as the "defacto" number 1 only because they were the biggest name unbeaten team left and now that they have lost, I could see them dropping down to around the 7-10 range.

Yea, I think the BCS is a good system it just has a few flaws in it that they have tried to fix. Playoffs won't ever happen though because of the Big10 Commissioner doesn't want it to.

11/10/07

Also if there was a plus one, how would it be fair to ask the only unbeaten team in all of College Football to have to go and play some one loss team the next week because there is a plus one?

Unfortunately true as well.  The BCS is just way too flawed for my tastes.  Decide it on the feild like every other sport and every other level of sports do.  Anyway... Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Michigan all lost today.  Crazy.

South Carolina sucks. The SEC is impossible to figure out.  Even LSU is unpredictable, especially with their loose cannon of a coach.

Why do very few people talk about Sam Bradford for some national awards? He is about to break the freshman TD pass record plus he is the QB on a top team. Isn't that the prerequisite for the Heisman .

You'd think Michigan would want, like, a real coach or something.  He's a great recruiter but that doesn't really matter at Michigan because those guys can pick and choose who they want.

I just remember Miles from when he was at Okie St and he made a comment before the Oklahoma/Okie St game about how "one team on Saturday was the best team in the country and the other is a pretty darn good team, and we will find out which is which on Saturday." Oklahoma won 52-9. Then a couple months later, Miles was on his way to LSU.

If Kansas wins tonight, I have no idea how you could have Missouri ahead of them.  Mizzou has a loss and has about the same quality of wins as Kansas.  It doesn't really matter, since they will decide their fates on the field, but I don't understand that ranking at all.

To be fair, I'd have
1) Oregon
2) LSU
3) Oklahoma
4)  Kansas
5) Missouri

Also, I'm surprised I haven't heard much Heisman talk for Reesing.  He has no chance at winning it, but he should be cracking some top-5 lists.  He has something crazy like 28 TDs and 4 INTs on the year, leading an undefeated top-5 team.

FWIW, Dixon is my #1 Heisman choice, followed by McFadden, Glenn Dorsey, Tebow, Reesing, in no particular order.

I kinda figured it was a brain fart.  Speaking of the Kansas game though, there are some really talented wideouts on display tonight.  Between Briscoe, Henry, Bryant, and Bowman, that's a heck of a collection of talent at the WR position.

It really has been. KU jumped up early then OSU came storming back but just couldn't get it all the way back.

Yeah, he deserves some top-10 love, for sure.  I think he might suffer from the same thing AD did as a freshman.  Nobody wants to give a freshman the Heisman.

AD should have won it. Looking back if Reggie Bush was ineligible, all of his votes would have gone to AD and Lienart and I think AD would have made the difference up and won it.

I agree with that 1 billion percent.  I thought it was complete horsecrap that they snubbed him because he was a freshman, despite him CLEARLY being the best player in the nation.  Dude was robbed.

Not exactly the same, but kind of relevant. Why is Jackson still on people's Heisman list when he has been no where near consistent. If Fitzgerald could not win it with 18 straight games receiving a touchdown, Jackson and his stats shouldn't even make him a finalist.

Kansas is now 10-0 against the spread;  I don't care how good/bad anyone thinks they are, that is extremely impressive.

Speaking of impressive, Brennan with 230+ yards with a few minutes left in the 1st quarter.

I jumped on the Kansas bandwagon after their Colorado game which I swore they would lose. I would not be surprised at all if Kansas ends up beating Missouri two weeks from now. I still believe that no matter who wins that game, Oklahoma will win the Big 12 Championship game convincingly and march their way above Oregon into the National Championship though. Yeah... I still think Oklahoma is the best team in the country.
