Former Auburn and Arkansas State (briefly) running back Michael Dyer has reportedly made a decision to where he will finish his collegiate career.

According to Fox 16, Dyer is expected to enroll into Arkansas Baptist College for the 2012-13 academic year and sit out the upcoming football season.

Spending a year in the classroom and avoiding off-field issues could actually play in the favor of the former 5-star running back. If he earns his Associates Degree this year as anticipated, he could then transfer—again—to a Division I-A program with two years of eligibility.

If he then decides to declare for the 2014 draft, he'd probably still only be a mid- to late-round selection due to his recent past of seemingly everlasting problems.

Just a few short months ago, Dyer had transferred from Auburn to Arkansas State, but that didn't last long when his petition for immediate eligibility for the Red Wolves was denied by the NCAA and then dismissed by coach Gus Malzahn for violation of team rules.

Those violations included a March traffic stop in which Dyer was in possession of a gun and marijuana. This came not too long after he admitted that the gun used in the armed robbery involving four Auburn players was his.

Dyer also appeared to be heading towards landing a position at FCS Prairie View A&M and Division-III Pitt State, but neither of those worked out either.

For all we know, Dyer's intentions could be to play for Arkansas Baptist College. If that's the case, he'd be a member of a 1-9 football program in 2011, and would compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

But we'll see how long this lasts.
