I've said it before, I'll say it again -- there's no good reason that the Coaches Poll isn't transparent. LSU received all the first place votes in the AP Poll and all but two in the Coaches' Poll. Those votes went to Ohio State. Yes, despite LSU beating yet another ranked team, two coaches have decided the Buckeyes are the best in the country. What are the odds they're from Big Ten? Sad.
Anyways, the big news of the weekend is the USC Trojans fall. Now ranked 10th in the AP and 7th in the coaches after losing to Stanford.
Other notable movement:
- Boston College is now 4th, its highest ranking ever.
- New to the polls (AP/Coaches): Illinois 18/19, Kansas 20/20, Florida State 21/21, Auburn 22/25, Tennessee 25/NR.
- Too low: Missouri 11, Virginia Tech 12.
- Fun with head to head matchups: Georgia 24, Tennessee 25.
- Three coaches still voted for Michigan State. How are these people?
Discuss. Picking APart the Pollsters will up later this evening.
