- On Friday, Louisville's leading receiver from a year ago, Michaelee Harris, tore his ACL and is expected to miss the entire season. He finished with 37 receptions for 455 yards and two tou
chdowns, and was one of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater's favorite targets.
- LSU Heisman finalist Tyrann "Honey Badger" Mathieu was dismissed from the team Friday for reportedly failing another drug test. He is expected to transfer to FCS McNeese State.
- UCLA coach Jim Mora named redshirt freshman Brett Hundley his starting quarterback for the upcoming season among a four-player race.
- Nebraska sophomore left tackle Tyler Moore decided to leave the team temporarily on Saturday due to personal reasons. He was in the bid for the starting job with three others.
- Michigan coach Brady Hoke stated Sunday that tailback Fitzgerald Toussaint will practice with the team today. He was suspended indefinitely for drunk driving just three weeks ago.
- Penn State's board of trustees will not be voting yet on a consent decree with the NCAA that imposed tough penalties for how the university handled its child molestation scandal.
