After many years of complaining and debating on how  the teams were selected for the BCS bowl championship, the BCS commissioners have agreed to a 4 team playoff. Now this will not automatically fixed all the issues in college football, but it is a step in the right direction. If on June 26, 2012 the commissioners' consensus is approved by the BCS presidential oversight committee we will see the format take shape in 2014, so instead of 92% of college football teams being out by week 6, there is will be so much more meaning to the season, where games really do count. For you must win to get in and conference championships will matter more then they did in the past. As I said this will not solve debates and those who will continue yammer because his or her team did not get in, till we see a 8 , or 10 team playoffs system. Dei gratia the presidential committee approves it so we can see who the real national champion is instead of what we have had to put up with.
