Mesa State College senior offensive lineman Trevor Wikre dislocated his pinkie in practice on Thursday. He was told that he would need season-ending surgery to fix it.That was unacceptable for Wikre, who just told the doctors that he would rather go through life without a pinkie than miss the last few games of his college career.
Wikre's level of commitment to the small college in Colorado is incredible. Most NFL players wouldn't even be willing to do this, but for Wikre, it's not even a question.
His team is currently 3-2, and 3-0 in their conference. They have 9 games remaining, and instead of cutting his season short, Wikre will cut his finger short and play in all of them.
The man is a beast.
