Colorado quarterback Jordan Webb has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the entire 2013 season, according to the school’s official athletic website.Blog Photo - Colorado Football: Buffaloes QB Jordan Webb tears ACL

Webb went down during a non-contact drill on Tuesday, tearing a ligament in his right knee.

“This is very sad for Jordan,” Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre said. “We all feel for him. He was doing well in practice, competing again for the starting job, and for this to happen and to lose him for the season is just a shame."

Webb won the starting job last August while under coach Jon Embree, throwing for over 1,400 yards, eight touchdowns and eight interceptions before being replaced toward the end of the season.

The fifth-year senior was a Kansas transfer, where he started 19 games from 2010-11. His collegiate career is likely over unless the NCAA grants him a waiver to play next year.

Webb was amid a four-way quarterback battle with juniors Nick Hirschman and Connor Wood, and freshman Shane Dillon.
