We'll get to the New York Mets epic collapse in a bit, but for now let's revel in some Monday Night Baseball. For all the easy criticism directed towards Bud Selig, let's pause for a moment and thank him for Wild Card baseball.
Let's also thank Ubaldo Jiminez (who?) for keeping the Colorado Rockies Cinderella story alive. It might not officially be the playoffs, but it's going to be fun to watch an October baseball game at Coors Field tomorrow night.
Nothing against the San Diego Padres, but I'm certain everyone outside Southern California is rooting for Clint Hurdle to propel the Rockies over this playoff sized hurdle.
