Colts Crowd Noise: Nothing to Hear Here, CBS Says It Was Their Fault

Here's video to go along with the audio that suggests the Colts were "cheating" and pumping in artificial fan noise. Sorry Bill, but it appears it's still only you that's been caught cheating this season.

From Newsday:

"We've just learned that the NFL's investigation into complaints from the Patriots that the Colts had illegally piped in crowd noise is over. It didn't take the league long to find out that the Colts were not at fault for a crowd noise issue. "CBS has informed us that the unusual audio moment heard by fans during the Patriots-Colts game was the result of tape feedback in the CBS production truck and was isolated to the CBS broadcast," NFL vice president Greg Aiello tells us. "It was in no way related to any sound within the stadium and could not be heard in the stadium.""

Glad we got that all figured out.

Funny...because we've been hearing that ALL YEAR from the rest of the league. Gets tiresome real quick, doesn't it?

Hey...what's the Dolphins' record?

Hey...what's the Dolphins' record?

But do you hear me whining about reasons present or past for this record or records past? NO but we hear you whine every time they win (all this year) and lose since I joined this site.  In my mind typical New England fan.

Your heads are BIG when you are winning and trying to inflate with excuses when you are losing.

Just like now you throw in the Dolphins record. I know what their record is and so does the nation but they don't whine about anything. The Patriots are UNDEFEATED and all they do is whine.

Go buy some cheese for your whine and take your jabs like a  Man and Marine would and should.

Plus your team deserves every jab they get for getting caught cheating when they are the best in the league as it is and did not need to resort to cheating to win.

We whine? That's funny...because all I've heard all year is people whining about the Patriots camera issue, whining about the Patriots "running up the score", whining about how Belichick shakes hands with people, whining about the Patriots' celebrating a good win...

And WE'RE the whiners because we mention a possible case of cheating by the Colts?

You must be joking...

For those that say fake crowd noise is piped into the dome (Patriots whine-babies), you obviously have never been in the dome in Indy during a game.  These fans are LOUD, and they have no problem letting you know it!  When there is a sold out house it is worse than worse.  You can't even hear the person sitting next to you.  It is louder than Indy car.  You know you've had a good time at Indy when you leave the dome deaf and so hoarse you can barely speak for three days!!!  If you have a problem with the noise, then put a sock in it and use earplugs.      Congratulations to the Colts for a game well played, and the class to congratulate your opponents afterward.

The fact that you have the nerve to call the Patriots "whine-babies" is just ludicrous. No team has ever been whined ABOUT as much as this year's Patriots team. And you want to say the PATS are whining? Dream on, kid.

And I'm impressed at those fans. I always knew they were loud, but I didn't realize they coordinated their cheering well enough to make their cheers sound like a cd skipping...that's very impressive.

Clearly I did, as evidenced by my earlier posts on this and other threads. I have no problem with people calling out the Patriots when it's deserved. But the hypocrisy and double standards are just ridiculous. And the blatant ignorance, also. How someone can watch that video and honestly believe that Kraft is a "whiner" for bringing it up is beyond me. Especially when people have done nothing BUT whine about the Pats all year. If it's not one thing, it's another. And it's disgusting.

Frankly, some of the behavior from both teams and their fans is ridiculous. Yes, the Pats had a reason and the right to ask for an investigation. Colts fans, and others in general, are wrong to call it whining, and you are wrong for the below the belt snipe after the Colts were cleared of wrongdoing. All of this is taking away from two great teams and a great football game.

My biggest beef is that people are so quick to point fingers, and when I say something that is even slightly pro-Patriots, I get hammered for it. Hence my propensity for "below the belt snipes" in my responses.

I was one of the first to condemn Belichick for his actions and state that they should throw the book at him for breaking the rules. After the punishment was handed down, I figured that it must not have been THAT bad, since Goodell has already built up a pretty consistent track record for harsh punishments. If it was really all that bad, the punishment would have been worse. I have no doubt about that. But regardless, the penalty has been dished out. It really should be a moot point right now.

But instead of letting it go and moving on so we can enjoy these 2 great teams, we have fans of the 0-8 Dolphins chiming in about an incident that happened several months ago, and acting like the Patriots have now forfeited all rights to call "foul" when they see possible wrongdoing by another team.

This type of ignorance is just absurd, and I'm not going to just sit there and act like people are justified to act that way. If people take issue with how I react, that's fine. But maybe they should engage their brain before coming out with their ridiculous comments.

I'm talking about the fans and you are proving my point without me having to really type a  word. Thank you.

Have a good day and NFL season watching the best team in the league while you still whine.

Now I remember why I removed you from my friends list. Thanks for that reminder too.
