Andrew Luck has been notified that he'll be the #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft
This has been widely believed to be the case for a while, but Colts owner Jim Irsay had previously insisted that they had not yet made their final decision between Luck and former Baylor QB and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.
Adam Schefter first reported the news, and also said that Griffin will be selected with the 2nd pick by the Washington Redskins.
Neither of these picks should come as a surprise to anyone, but now it's pretty clear that the wavering is over, and both teams know exactly which direction they're heading in the draft.
If you want to see these guys play against each other, you'll get your chance in week 3 of the preseason, when the Redskins host the Colts. Week 3 is normally when the starters get the most playing time, so we could see a lot of both Luck and Griffin.
Now on the clock, for all intents and purposes, the Vikings, with the 3rd overall pick. Most people believe they'll take USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil.
What do you think of the Colts' decision to go with Luck over Griffin? Is it a no-brainer? Will they someday regret passing on Griffin? Or will both QBs end up being pretty good? Let us know what you think.
