Ty Conklin made 20 saves last night for his fifth career shutout, and Jiri Hudler and Niklas Kronwall each had a goal and an assist for Detroit.
Mikael Samuelsson and Johan Franzen also scored for the Red Wings, who have won five of six. Henrik Zetterberg added two assists. Kronwall had a power-play goal in the first and Detroit added two more in the second.
Edmonton's Dwayne Roloson stopped 37 shots.
