I was going to lead with Barry Zito returning to what he does best: starting and losing, but is that really news anymore?

Plus, Zito fortunately isn't on my fantasy team. Conor Jackson is.

In the 8th inning, Shane Victorino struck out swinging but the ball rolled behind the plate creating an awkward angle for CoJack to field the catch from Chris Snyder. That awkward position turned into an even more unfortunate catch. Victorino's head caught Jackson's left arm and head and thus the vicious collision above.

Despite how it appeared, Conor says he's doing fine and looks forward to returning to my fantasy lineup this weekend:

"I'm all right, just a little headache. It was kind of a fluky play, you could say. I was a little bit nauseous."

Victorino being on 1st base turned into a big deal. Eric Brunlett later doubled him in to tie the game at 4-4 and then clutch Chase Utley put the Phillies ahead with an RBI single later that inning. Phillies 5, DBacks 4.

Just Zito Being Zito You know, he actually didn't pitch that bad - 5 IP, 5 H, @2 ER, a matter of fact, that's tremendous for Barry Zito. However, he's still 0-7 this morning. 0-20 is only a matter of time. Pirates 3, Giants 1.

Vottowned In case you missed it, Mr. Redlegs lost his head yesterday ... and Joey Votto was out of his mind with 3 HR. Cubs aren't looking good these days. Time for Sweet Lou to lose his head and get the team squared away.

He must lead all 2nd baseman in Walk-Offs It wouldn't be an appropriate Morning MLB Walk-Off if I didn't acknowledge a late night walk-off. Might Mark Ellis has done it again. Seriously, is there a smaller player with more big time, game-ending home runs? Athletics 6, Orioles 5.

How's that trade working out? Don't worry, I'm not about to compare Carlos Gomez to Johan Santana ... yet, but the Twins rookie centerfielder acquired in that trade has been money. Last night, Gomez hit for the cycle, the first Twinkie-cycle in 22 years. I'd say the Twins got an appropriate young talent back in exchange for Johan and I'm sure the Mets fans are taking this well.
