Corey Hill Breaks His Leg Against Dale Hartt At UFC Fight For The Troops
Corey Hill's Leg Didn't Do Too Well At His Latest UFC Fight
READ MORE:
At last night's UFC Fight For The Troops, Corey Hill was doing pretty well against Dale Hartt in one of the preliminary fights. It looked like he had won the first round, but a little bit into the 2nd, that suddenly didn't matter anymore.

Hill tried to kick Hartt, and Hartt raised his leg to defend it. Their shins hit each other, and Hills leg literally snapped in half. The fight continued for a few moments longer, until the ref realized how serious it was. At first, it looked like Hill may have just stumbled, and Hartt moved in to finish the fight as Hill went down, not yet realizing what had happened.

Announcer Joe Rogan and some other officials ringside began screaming to stop the fight, once they saw the damage to Hill's leg. The referee stepped in and called the fight immediately. Hartt was initially upset, because he felt that the fight had been stopped prematurely, but then he saw Hill's leg and understood.

The fight was officially stopped 20 seconds into the 2nd round.

Hartt obviously felt bad about it after the fight, and had some great things to say about Hill:

"Me and Corey, we cut weight together, we've been talking the whole time, and Corey's an awesome dude, and I wanted to beat him with every bit of my heart, but I don't want to see him like this."

There is video of this and the other fights at the UFC website.

Very good young fighter, hopefully he can recover physically.....although it might be harder to recover mentally. I cant imagine he would ever be able to through a leg 100% again.

Yes, I actually fight at 155lbs and have a record of 5-0...I've been training for 2 years...neither of those guys scare me. Hill was a monster at 155lb, because he is 6'4''...you can't teach height...

Maybe they should have a benefit for injured UFC fighters too

Here's one for you being a fighter at 155 lbs. (lightweight  division-UFC) Do you think what B.J. Penn wants to do fighting in two weight classes and holding two UFC World Titles would be tough if he happens to beat GSP for the Welterweight title. Would it be tough for him to cut weight and be the World Champion in two divisions at the same time and would you fight B.J. for the UFC World Lightweight Championship or appear on the Ultimate Fighter show to win a UFC contract.

15 pounds is not a huge cut at all. B.j. will have much more trouble fighting at a higher weight., his conditioning  has been a factor in the past

Do you think he'll take the UFC World Welterweight title from GSP

Unfortunately no. GSP is way to athletic and explosive. Now I know what B.J. can do as well and the kind of skill he has on the ground is second to none but he has to  get GSP there to win. GSP has one of the best if not the best take down defense in the game and on there feet he has a size-able advantage. Plus he is no slouch on the ground either. The loss to Matt was probably the best thing that happened to GSP. It has knocked a little bit of the chip of his shoulder and has him focused. I think this will be close but I see it ending mid to late 3rd by either KO or ref stoppage. Just my opinion though. I hope that B.J. wins just don't see it happening.
