Usally when a member of the Giants is asked about a free agent or a potential draft pick the answer is "we investigate everything." Earlier today head coach Tom Coughlin was asked if there was a chance of a Plaxico Burress return, given the injury to Hakeem Nicks. Coughlin answered with a very short no. Burress thought in March that he had a great chance to return to the Giants, but apparently that bridge has been burned far past repair.

With the team on a roll the following season and the chances of another Lombardi trophy possible, Burress decided to bring a loaded gun in to a night club. The rest is history. Burress would spend two years in prison, making his return to the NFL last year with the New York Jets. The Giants did court Burress, but in the end he turned down a chance at another ring for more money.
