FanIQ | Sports Rumors, Gossip, Blogs, News & Discussion ForumsThere was a lot of smack talk from both sides leading into the Cowboys-Giants faceoff on Sunday. In fact, the Giants did most of the talking before the Week 12 game.
New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul said that his team would "put it on the Cowboys “and “there’s going to be a lot of blood spilled out there,” Sunday night. But the Cowboys silenced the jeering Giants and any doubters after they won 24-21 on a last second field goal this Sunday.
Defensive tackle Jason Hatcher played a big role in the Cowboys win with two sacks of Giants quarterback Eli Manning to up his total to a team-high nine sacks this season. But he still wasn’t done sweeping the floor with the Giants. Hatcher took a page out of the Giants’ list of insults and served them with a visual image that will not only be hard to forget but also likely deepened their embarrassment following Sunday’s loss.
"I just finished eating a Giant," said Hatcher, who fake blood smeared across his face in the locker room after the game. "Y'all didn't see me out there? That's some leftover blood. They said blood is going to be shed, right?"
"We just got disrespected. You know what I mean? We didn't talk all week. We let them do all the talking. And revenge is best served cold.”
Hatcher added that the Giants, who were bursting with confidence following a four-win streak earlier this week, failed to back up their words on the field at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
"I didn't let it affect me at all. Actions speak louder than words, so we went out there and we did what we were supposed to do tonight,” Hatcher said. “They talked their talk. They has to back it up and they didn't. We came out with the victory. We came into their house and we took it from them."
"It feels good," he added. "This team is all about action. We don't get caught up in all this…I'm proud of my team. I'm proud of what we did. They didn't give us nothing. We took it."
