Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is set to sign for Manchester United. According to reports, Wilfried Zaha met with Sir Alex Ferguson today for talks after Manchester United agreed to offer Crystal Palace £15 million for his services.
The young England international had a secret meeting with the Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson at a London hotel on Sunday night for discussing his transfer deal.
Manchester United are offering £10 million guaranteed with an extra £5 million that will arrive on the basis of appearances and achievement. The whole package is simply more than Crystal Palace can turn down.
The head of Crystal Palace, Steve Parrish, has been negotiating with a number of other top notch clubs from the Premier League for the last couple of months. Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have been in battle for Wilfried Zaha since the beginning of the transfer window.
Manchester United have been the frontrunners for Wilfried Zaha’s signature since Day One. This clearly shows how badly Sir Alex Ferguson wanted Wilfried Zaha under his wings at Old Trafford.
Wilfried Zaha, who is reportedly an Arsenal fan, is happy to move to Manchester United. After finalizing the transfer deal Manchester United will let Wilfried Zaha return to Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season.
Rife speculation suggests Wilfried Zaha will bring an end to Nani’s career at Old Trafford. The out of favor Portuguese winger was set to move away from Manchester United this fall, but Sir Alex Ferguson decided to give him one last chance.
Nani has been a true example of Murphy’s Law over the past couple of months. The 26-year-old Portugal international was in excellent form for Manchester United last season, but the start of the new term saw a massive dip in his form.
Arsenal, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in signing Nani, but none of these clubs have come up with an official bid yet.
