About Me:
Hi. I am Chicago born guy living in SW Florida. I mostly follow all my teams back home. As a young'en I grew up in Little Italy Chicago or better known as the Near West Side. One of the most memorial things I can remember living at the NW Side was the birth of the Sears Tower back in the late 60's finishing in the early 70's. My brothers and I watched the growth from our porch ontop our third story old victorian home. Another memorial episode was when every a White Sox player would hit a homerun, we can see and hear the scoreboard go off from Old Cominsky Park. Despite the sports aspect living in this section of Chicago, it was also most conveinent to all downtown activities. Chicago " The City of Big Shoulders" has tons of history and great foods. I do miss the Old City but the winter time sucked. Being comfind in a house all winter long besides going to school, work , shopping or shoveling. Here in Sarasota, its all about sun and beaches and fishing and margaritas...

As gas prices continue to increase, Congress continues to blame others while
ignoring practical steps to stop the pain Americans are feeling at the pump. To lower gasoline prices and reduce our dependence on foreign oil, we need real solutions to our energy challenges
* American Solutions Delivers 1,226,091 Petition Signatures to Senators McCain, Obama, and Reid
*rev: June 22, 2008
WASHINGTON, DC – American Solutions for Winning the Future today delivered *1,226,091 petition signatures, gathered from all 50 states, to the U.S. Senate urging them to take immediate action to lower gas prices by drilling for oil domestically. The petition is part of the “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less” campaign American Solutions launched two weeks ago.
The petition is simple and powerful:
“We, therefore, the undersigned citizens of the United States, petition the U.S. Congress to act immediately to lower gasoline prices by authorizing the exploration of proven energy reserves to reduce our dependence on foreign energy sources from unstable countries.”
American Solutions delivered this first round of signatures to the offices of Senators Alexander, Clinton, Durbin, Ensign, Kyl, McCain, McConnell, Obama, Reid and Schumer urging them to vote against the destructive Boxer-Warner-Lieberman bill which would raise the cost of gasoline, diesel fuel, heating oil, and aviation fuel.
According to new American Solutions’ research, 85% of the American people support the U.S. using more of its own domestic energy resources, including the oil and coal already here, to combat the rising cost of energy and reduce dependence on foreign energy sources. This belief is so widespread it is supported by a majority of Democrats, Republicans, and independents.
“The voices of more than *1,226,091 Americans are demanding that Congress offer real solutions to our energy challenges, and that begins with drilling for oil now,” said Dave Ryan, American Solutions Executive Director. “As our petition drive continues to gain more momentum, we hope to deliver 3 million signatures to both parties at their national conventions.”
