For the next Chad Ford released his new Mock Draft 4.0 and Al Horford is now slotted 3rd to the Hawks. What this really means is that Atlanta has decided on Mike Conley and realize they could take him in the 4-6 range, so announcing interest in Horford could command some trade interest. Would Ainge find a way to trade up to 3? A Horford-Jefferson front line could do some damage. Maybe Milwaukee would move up?
Draft Express thinks Conley is good call for 4th - "Memphis: Just having finally hired a GM recently, it’s obviously premature to know for sure who they are leaning towards. Mike Conley Jr. is a name that is quietly gathering some steam at this pick, even if Horford is the consensus favorite should Atlanta decide to pass on him. The Grizzlies held a fascinating workout today in Memphis for hometown favorite Corey Brewer, bringing in an excellent sparring partner in Nick Young to give him a run for his money. Acie Law was also here, while Brandan Wright worked out by himself once again."
Danny Ainge is confident in who the Grizzlies are taking Unique situation. Ainge's partner, Chris Wallace who has been in draft strategy meetings with Danny leaves to take the GM job with the Memphis Grizzlies who have the pick right before Boston.
Warriors and their fans remain obsessed with Yi Jianlian and I can't figure out why from a baskeball perspective. I understand the marketing possibilities with a heavy Asian demographic in the Bay Area, but I feel confident in projecting that Jianlian will make a 10 Worst Draft Picks of the Last 10 Years list down the road.
