For the next 10 days leading up to the NBA Draft I'll be musing on the hot rumors and looking for your thoughts ...Jeff Green has chosen to stay IN in the Draft Good move. Top 10 pick this year, Top 10 pick next year. There's that chance he catapults himself into the top 3 with a national title run at Georgetown, but Green has a chance now to fall to the 9-10 range and play for a better team. (please come to Chicago!)
Thaddeus Young also staying IN the Draft Bad move. Needs another year like Green used. Top 4 pick next year if he stayed one more year and received Kevin Durant-like headlines and attention as one of the best in the ACC.
Al Horford now the favorite for Atlanta at #3 That's the word from Chad Ford right now, and as you might recall from last year's draft, he's the guy you should be listening to. I've said all along that Horford is without a doubt the 3rd best player in the draft. That said, this means they're passing on yet another All-Star PG ... which means more losses to come. When will Atlanta "get it" and understand the value of the point. Conley won't be around at #11, I hope that's not what they'd be banking on.
Best Trade Rumor that won't happen -- KG to Boston HoopsHype says it's just a fun topic to discuss, but hasn't actually been presented. How fun would it be to have KG in Boston? The NBA needs this so much, I'm surprised Stern wouldn't but his head in to make it work.
Come back tomorrow for a look at the 10 Worst Draft Picks of the Last 10 Years, and more NBA draft rumors.
