Sorry, but after seeing it on tv, and reading more about it today, NASCAR has become a bigger joke to me than it already was. If this isn't "fixing" a race to appease a certain fan base, I don't know what is. He broke a rule, intent doesn't matter. See the guys that speed in the pits, do they intend to do it? No, but yet they are penalized. Seeing this has made NASCAR officially my last thing to watch on TV. I think MrNFL hit the nail on the head, it's all about the money.

Just to let everyone know, this is nothing to do with Junior (note I didn't even mention how big a Jr. win would be for NASCAR). It has to deal with NASCAR not enforcing their rules, and if they're not enforcing those rules, it opens the door for "fixing" speculation, regardless of who won the race.

I have heard this about Petty, Sr, Jr, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie, Tony, Kyle, Even Kahne 2 years ago!! How many favorites do they have, and if everyone is a favorite, is that not equal?

I don't care if Joe Blow won under the same circumstances. When NASCAR doesn't follow it's own rules they look bad. I mean he passed pace car. They say don't do that and give him a warning. He does it again. Another warning. Sorry, but it's against the rules to pass the pace car under yellow.

With just giving warnings, they are in essence fixing the outcome of a race. Funny how they flag a guy for running over an air hose, yet don't follow their own rules when something as clear as day happens.

I think the rule may not be worded correctly, so that it is hard to enforce, who cares if he passes, if it is not for position.

How is "Do not pass the pace car (unless you are being waved around by race control)" hard to enforce? There isn't a racing league in the world where that isn't the rule, regardless of intent or any theoretical position gained. Ask Scott Goodyear.

Hey Jr was not gonna win without stratgey and even when that was not gonna help him win. For all of you who don't know almost everyone in the race stopped an extra time to get fuel and dale jr stayed out! That was gonna fail so Nascar had to hand him a win by letting him pass the pace car and then throwing the caution when the cars spun in the infield and there was no harm to the rest of the field. Let them race to the checkered flag or throw a caution everytime when something like that happens ask Mark Martin about that one! So Jr is the most over rated driver out there! Could not drive a horse to water. Glad your dad died so he did not have to see how bad you really are JR! Oh and also him dieing gave you fans. So this is to you JUNIOR NATION, he is your Favorite driver but he is far from the best you JR fans need to get it right Favorite Driver does not mean best driver 2 diffrent things. I will explain it to all you stupid Red Neck Junior Nation fans so you understand. I am a Jeff Gordon fan. So I naturally did not like Dale sr. he was a great driver but not my favorite. yeah ok thats why at the last plate race jeff said it best on his radio "one way" meaning junior is not a team player. Also it was Dale Sr fans that made up the rivalry. Sr could not contend with jeff so they had to call him gay or make up something about him. Oh and gordon fans do not throw beer cans at car when someone else wins.

I was agreeing with you. I heard the comment, Jeff was expecting Jr to help him in that situation, and Jr thought he was to fast not to pass. That is racing, Jeff was not MAD, I WAS FREAKING LISTENING! If you knew ANYTHING about Racing, you should know, all drivers will have questions about why another driver did something.

I am willing to bet Jeff is WAY more happy with JR than he EVER WAS with KYLE!

Watch the times for the races, Jeff is always in the top 10, and usually towards the top in speeds, Nascar is not like it used to be.

Kyle is willing to wreck to win, and now he is the only one in position to do that. He can wreck and still be in the lead in points, Like Gordon so many times before, he has a Cushion allow him to take risks and win races.

Point is Jeff Gordon is still very much among the "BEST in NASCAR TODAY" so dont be down on him for having what would be a terrific year for 40 other drivers!!
