Dallas Cowboys Selling Stadium Memorabilia To Help Raise $350 Million For New Stadium
The Cowboys Need You To Help Them Out By Buying "The Throne Of Champions."
READ MORE:
You may have heard that the Dallas Cowboys are in a little bit of financial trouble of late. See, the team's new stadium which is set to open up next year actually cost more to build than its original $1.2 billion price tag. In fact, $350 million more. And, shock of shocks, the Cowboys and Jerry Jones don't exactly have that kind of money. Nor can they get a loan for it considering how the economy is doing right now.

So what's a team to do? Why, sell every damn thing in the stadium you're going to vacate at the end of the year.

Yes, the Cowboys have put literally everything up for sale in Texas Stadium to help raise some money. And by everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Let's take a look at the wonderful overpriced crap stuff that you could potentially own.

Here's a nice, simple turnstile. Perfect for, uh, well nothing really. Starting bid: $300.

Or hey, maybe you don't want something with the Cowboys logo on it, and instead just want a random sign for nachos. This should go great in the kitchen. Starting bid: $200.

Maybe you're a big spender though, and want to get your hands on some goalposts. I mean, who doesn't? Starting bid: $2000.

Or perhaps you're looking for some transportation. Clearly no one will laugh at you if you're driving this bad boy around. Starting bid: $5000.

And best of all, you can get your hands on what is being described as - I s*** you not - the "Throne of Champions." Now you can take a dump where Emmitt Smith once did. Starting bid: a very reasonable $300.

I believe the Cowboys are also selling their pride as well. It costs 37 cents.

A couple of corrections: The stadium's cost is now estimated at $1.1 billion. The original cost was projected at $650 million. That explains the $350 million increase. That's not on top of the current cost.
