What's going on with Dallas sports these days? First, the Dallas Mavericks set a new low for being soft in the 1st round. Now, the Dallas Cowboys are taking their turn sucking on the pacifier.
Poor Bill Parcells is a meanie. A big, bad bossy man that makes them cry. The Dallas Cowboys minicamp has turned into one big complain-fest about Bill Parcells, while applauding the new coach.
Julius Jones points the finger towards the Hall of Fame coach for his sub-par season:
"Maybe I was being told a little bit where to run and wasn't really able to use my instincts," Jones said at minicamp. "Maybe I listened to (Parcells) a little too much and was kind of running like a robot."Naturally, Terrell Owens had to dump some baggage saying he got "Nothing, really" out of his one season and went on to praise the new philosophy:
"Everybody knows he's a laid-back coach, obviously a little different than Bill. ... I don't think you have to be a disciplinarian to get your point across," Owens said. "I think having a new head coach is good for everybody.Translation: Bill Parcells was strict, Wade Phillips is soft. Boo-ho.
"It's a little bit more relaxed. I think you can tell that by the atmosphere in the locker room. I don't think I just have to really spell it out for you, but I think it's very evident."
Who knows, maybe we'll find out the stress free life under Wade Phillips will work out but I sure wouldn't want to hear a football team complaining about discipline.
