After a few years of less than awesome Monday Night Football games, I'm feeling good about the direction of this season. Two explosive offenses in week one, two big rivals, Eagles at Cowboys works for me. We can safely assume the Cowboys offense will be productive, but I don't know that the same can be said about the Eagles. Sure, Donovan McNabb and DeSean Jackson tore up the St. Louis Rams, but now they face a real, actual, NFL defense. For the sake of a good game, I hope both teams move the ball up and down the field.
Speaking of that, if Tony Romo hits Terrell Owens for a touchdown pass tonight TO will pass Cris Carter for 2nd all-time in receiving touchdowns. I had no idea of that accomplishment until today. Blew me away. Ownes is not exactly my favorite player all-time, but he's without question one of the best ever wide outs. At 130 touchdowns, it's safe to say he won't pass Jerry Rice (197) anytime soon.

I'm definitely going that way as well. Philly looked great in week one on both sides of the ball, but as I said above, that was going the pathetic Rams. That was a nice confidence boost out of the gates, but I don't think they'll pass this first hurdle cleanly. Tony Romo has far too many weapons right now, even with a depleted receiving core. I expect Witten to have as many as 10 catches tonight, most of them early, opening up the field for a couple second half Romo to Owens touchdowns.
31-24 Cowboys.
