Will The Big Show Be A Good Show For NBC NFL Football?
7/8/08

Like many of you, whether you're willing to admit it or not, there was a time when SportsCenter was appointment viewing every night. Those times were when Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann teamed up for "The Big Show" and turned highlights into not just an informative broadcast but also a humorous and snarky one at that.
Yes, that's right, Patrick and Olbermann introduced us to snark long before blogs. Dan Shanoff beat me to the punch this morning on these two reuniting and how they had a great deal of influence on today's sports bloggers.
My opinion of these two has changed over the years, but I was still excited to learn that Patrick and Olbermann will be reuniting this fall on NBC's Football Night In America. There's no official news about their roles, but we can safely assume the two will be handling the day in football's highlights.
Assuming Olbermann keeps up to date on his football current events, which is no sure bet, this could very well be appointment viewing Sunday night for all your football highlight needs. Hey, it's either this or Chris Berman.
