David Beckham saves the day in LA in his boxers
David Beckham is somewhat of an expert at keeping his name afloat on the airwaves. The former Manchester United star has become a common face in the news and adverts throughout the globe.
With a ruggedly-handsome face and well-sculpted body, David Beckham has become a magnet for cameras everywhere. In his latest ad campaign, David Beckham stars for his bodywear collection for global retailer H&M.
This news comes soon after David Beckham decided to join the French football powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain and announced that he would donate his entire salary to orphans in Paris.
If you were guessing why half of the women on this planet have a crush on the mega-rich footballer, let me tell you that the above mentioned reasons would surely melt anyone’s heart.
Anyway, in this recent ad campaign David Beckham stars as an action hero, who is saving the day in Los Angeles… while wearing boxers and slippers. The advert resembles a short film, by Guy Ritchie, in the city David Beckham once lived when played for Los Angeles Galaxy.
David Beckham started a new line of undergarments and loungewear in partnership with H&M only a year ago. This won’t be the first time the Englishman has become an underwear model. A couple of years ago, David Beckham featured in a Super Bowl ad in which he appeared in a tank top, boxers and of course his famous tattoos.
A whole new wave of advertisements has been in the air since summers last year, with David Beckham making more appearances in his boxers. In a recent email-interview to The Associated Press, David Beckham announced he was committed to his acting career for the long haul, but is always a bit startled to see himself on billboards.
“No matter how many campaigns I do with H&M, I will never get used to seeing myself on billboards,” David Beckham said. “It's always a surprise to me when I see them. I'm lucky to work with such great photographers and stylists, so the images are always the best they can be.”
