Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished rumors suggesting David Beckham will be his latest signing. The former Chelsea manager insists the Englishman will not be added to the French side.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, David Beckham was linked to the mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain after the announcement of his departure from LA Galaxy in December.

David Beckham was given the opportunity to join Paris Saint-Germain last season, but the former England captain turned down the offer in order to continue playing for the LA Galaxy.

“We didn't make any further offer [after last season],” Carlo Ancelotti announced in a press release. “We wish him well. Our purchases are over.”

David Beckham has been linked with a couple of football powerhouses from Europe, South America, China, Middle-East and Australia. The aging attacking midfielder has been in good form for the LA Galaxy, but time has slowly turned him into a whisper in a windstorm.

In an interview on LA Galaxy’s official YouTube channel, David Beckham told his fans that he will make his final decision after the playing the MLS Cup with the LA Galaxy in December.

“What's next? I haven't decided yet,” the 37-year-old football icon said. “I'd been thinking about this for a few months and I came to the decision a couple of weeks ago. We were just about to head into the play-offs so I felt it wasn't the right time to announce it.

“Now we're through the play-offs and in the MLS Cup final which is going to be in our stadium and in front of our fans I felt it was the right time to do so.

“I signed a two-year extension last year with an option in between and I just felt it was the right time to step down as a player here. I've had an amazing six years, an amazing, successful six years.

“To have been able to play in three finals - two at the moment but three in 10 days - and to have won a championship last year was a dream come true. Hopefully to win a championship this year and go out with a real successful story for me that was one of the reasons why I wanted to make this.”

Popular rumors suggest David Beckham could return to Europe this season. Interest for him has been on the rise in France and England during the past couple of months. An underdog club with image and reputation could make a swoop for him. The question then is – Will David Beckham agree to such a transfer move?
