Well in the lead up to him coming down from being upside down then going back up and disappearing, ABC ran a few other "tricks". One of those included being punched in the stomach twice by Kimbo Slice.
Now I am not going to say anything about how good or bad Kimbo is as an MMA fighter, but the dude can definitely throw a punch.
You might be thinking,"What's the big deal? People get punched in the stomach all the time." Blaine was actually reenacting the very same thing that Harry Houdini did that ended up killing him, when Houdini suffered a ruptured appendix from multiple blows (Note: May not have actually happened).
Kimbo gets two good shots in on Blaine but as you can see in the replay, Blaine braces himself for the blow and moves back right as the punch is about to hit. He isn't even winded from two punches to the stomach. I don't know about you, but when I get punched in the gut, it usually knocks a little bit of wind out of me. Then again I am not a "magician".
I am not an MMA expert, but it really doesn't look like Kimbo throws a real MMA punch. It looked like one of those fake WWE style punches.
