Bess' release almost certainly had something to do with his propensity for marijuana.

Bess tweeted photos of himself and marijuana, much to the chagrin of the Browns and the NFL.

He also had a subpar season with the Browns, marred by some big drops, and he was overshadowed by the emergence of Josh Gordon as one of the best WRs in the NFL.

Now, Bess is a free agent again. Some teams might be interested in his services, since he's a capable return man with elite speed. But there's a chance that his unpolished skill set and his questionable offseason habits could scare teams away, much like it did for the Browns.
