Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY SportsDeSean Jackson, who was released on Friday by the Eagles after they couldn't fine a suitable trade, will likely have a new home pretty soon.

The Washington Redskins are reportedly close to signing the Pro Bowl WR, who would join an offense highlighted by Robert Griffin III and Pierre Garçon.

The Redskins could definitely use a WR with Jackson's skill set, and he should be available for relatively cheap, since he's on the free agent market with a little more baggage than he would probably like.

Also, signing with the Redskins would give him the chance to punish the Eagles twice a year, as division rivals.

As he was released by the Eagles, there were reports about him being connected to alleged gang members, raising a huge red flag thanks to the recent arrest of Aaron Hernandez.

Teams are now reluctant to take a chance on players with possible gang ties, even though Jackson has vehemently denied those reports.

Do you think the Redskins are making a good move if they sign Jackson? There's no doubt that he can help them on the field. But off the field, is he worth it?

Agree.  Snyder doesn't seem to care about off field hijinx.  It could definitely be an interesting year in DC.

DeSean himself tweeted "It's goin' down! Burgundy & Gold"

Looks like the 49ers just threw their hat in the ring. I'm not sure how serious they are though...can they afford him?
