It's being reported that, according to sources, Derek Fisher will be making a return the the NBA this season.
He's got a short list of three teams he's in negotiations with, but it's not known which three those are.
Last season, Fisher started with the Lakers, was traded to Houston in the move that acquired Jordan Hill. The Rockets then bought out Fisher's contract and he signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He provided a veteran presence with them, but wasn't necessarily a threat.
There has been off-season speculation about Fisher signing with the Lakers, and it was discovered that he was eligible to resign before December. However, they are so full at the guard position, and bringing in a slow, veteran guard is not what they need to do.
It will be interesting to see where he lands.
