Home post here. As of yesterday, every top rookie draft pick has had his "I'm ready" breakout game this preseason except for one.
Eric Gordon dropped 33 last week for the Clippers, Michael Beasley has led the Heat in scoring multiple times, OJ Mayo had his moment last week with 26 points for the Grizzlies (and another 28 last night), and Jerryd Bayless won Summer League MVP honors while also playing very strong throughout the preseason.
The one performance that was missing was from the No. 1 overall pick, Derrick Rose. The Chicago Bulls haven't exactly impressed this preseason, and the former Memphis guard has been a reason why. That all changed last night. Rose dropped 30 points on 13-of-18 shooting and added 7 assists. It was a performance that gives us Bulls fans a glimmer of hope heading into next week's opening games.
We'll be predicted our rookie of the year and other awards later today, but wanted to get an early feel for who you're tabbing as the ROY?
