The Bulls probably wish they had the best player in the NBA available in the playoffs
Unfortunately for the Bulls, Rose took longer than expected to come back from his ACL injury, so whether he's the best player in the league or not, he was unavailable for them in the playoffs, a fact that doesn't sit too well with Bulls fans.
There's really nothing wrong with a former league MVP thinking that he's the best player in the league, per se. But when you're not on the court, does it really matter?
Also, let's be serious. We all know that Derrick Rose isn't the best player in the league. Honestly, it's not even close.
LeBron James is the best player in the NBA. Hands down. No one is even in his league right now. After that, I think that nearly everyone would agree that Kevin Durant is the next best player.
As far as point guards go, Rose might not even be the best at his own position. Chris Paul might be the best point guard since Magic Johnson, and is a much better playmaker than Rose will ever be.
I have no problem with cocky NBA players. I almost expect that of them. But when you're not on the court helping your team win, it might be time to stay quiet for now. Prove it on the court, D-Rose.
Who do you think is the best player in the NBA?
