Detroit Lions hear my cry
Will you win a Super Bowl before I die?
Sundays I weep, yell, and sigh
And still for some reason season tickets I buy
You raise your prices but not your wins
Fans fear the worse before the season begins
Millen receives a raise for all of his sins
We still lose to giants, cowboys, and even Redskins
Our greatest player is a kicker
He gives us hope although only a flicker
What we would give for a quaterback or interception picker
Instead lets draft a flop and make fans sicker
In my third year I sit in the 7th row
Enjoy a good game before we then blow
when we should pass we run and when we should run we throw
Sometimes the team I wish would not show
All the bad times and nine dollar beers
instead of cheering the fans only jeer
Why do I buy these is all that I hear
While I stash all my cash when August comes near
We'll show 'em next year is what I say
And continue to pay to watch my team play
They turn my hair grey and tempt me to pray
for a 9 win season and a playoff display
Detroit Lions hear my cry
Will you win a Super Bowl before I die?
Sundays I weep, yell, and sigh
And still for some reason season tickets I buy
