Last night the Padres were trailing the Pirates 2-3 in the bottom of the 9th. Also staring a 2 game deficit against the Diamondbacks in the face. Former D-Back Scott Hairston made sure that didn't happen with a three-run walk off HR. His second such clutch hit since coming over from Arizona before the trade deadline.

Hairston now has 5 HR in 44 at-bats and a .364 average since the July 27th trade. Nothing worse than a former play coming back to haunt your team, something I'm all too familiar with.

Eh, oh well. The Diamondbacks had no room for him in the outfield.

I just went to their website to look at the sales process for postseason tickets, and prices are double or even triple what they were for the regular season. If for some reason the games don't sell out (unlikely vs. the Cubs or Mets), that will be why.
