Disappointment In Boston

It took less than four minutes for the Red Sox to blow a two-out, one run lead in the 9th before fans in Tampa watched Evan Longoria hit the game winning homer in Tampa. 3.5 Minutes and 2 very different walk offs. Ironically, the ending to a slow and methodical September collapse was swift (though definitely not painless). Memories of a historic fall from grace should stick with Boston fans for much, much longer.

Don't worry Boston fans, maybe next year your team will spend over $200 mil and then maybe then you can win the wild card!

Not sure what there is to be down about.  Red Sox had no hope of catching the Yankees five days before yesterdays game.  And their biggest lead was only 3 games back in July.  Hardly an epic meltdown.

Just goes to prove what Yogi said: "It ain't over 'til it's over."

Anyone for a good cry in the park?
