Disappointment In Boston

Ironically, the ending to a slow and methodical September collapse was swift (though definitely not painless). Memories of a historic fall from grace should stick with Boston fans for much, much longer.

Not sure what there is to be down about.  Red Sox had no hope of catching the Yankees five days before yesterdays game.  And their biggest lead was only 3 games back in July.  Hardly an epic meltdown.

Don't worry Boston fans, maybe next year your team will spend over $200 mil and then maybe then you can win the wild card!
