The first round of the playoffs is over and we await four very interesting match ups in the second round. All year, there really were four teams that stood out from the rest. New England, Indy, Dallas, and Green Bay. Each of those teams' are fully rested and now they await their first challenge, with the AFC and NFC Championship games next in line. But coming into these key games, what are the major story lines that we'll be hearing too much about the next week, and even the ones you won't hear.Seattle at Green Bay
"We want the ball and we're going to score!": It was so long ago yet it is still remembered. Back in 2003, these two teams met, and went to overtime in a wild card round game. The Seahawks won the toss, and Matt Hasselbeck uttered those words. Needless to say, he threw a pick that was returned for a TD.
The final playoff run of Brett Favre?: You know they'll beat this to death. Granted, it's the first time Green Bay has been in the playoffs since 2004. But unless the Packers win the Super Bowl, there is no way this is Favre's final year. Not with a contender.
Mike Holmgren vs his old team: Granted it's been a good long while since Holmgren coached the Pack to a Super Bowl title, but anytime he faces the Packers, the networks decide we always need to go down memory road.
Jacksonville at New England
The Pursuit of Perfections continues: 16-0 entering the playoffs, and they've beaten the other remaining AFC teams. Except for the Jaguars, but no one else has stopped them yet.
The perfect spoiler?: New England has gone through the Cowboys, Colts, Chargers, and Steelers. But Jacksonville is probably the most physical team in the league. Can they be the team to finally beat the Patriots?
Four Rings?: It's still early, but your going to hear many people already give them it. Can you imagine, 4 championships in 7 years? Belichick would be only the second coach ever with 4 rings, and with the insane playoff record, would the Hoodie have earned the title "greatest coach ever?"
San Diego vs Indianapolis
Time for another choke job?: Peyton Manning's bad playoff games are always a popular topic, and considering he threw 6 INT against the Chargers last time, the questions will be asked, can he get it done?
Can Norv Turner do what Schottenheimer couldn't?: A.J. Smith fired a coach that went 14-2 just for the fact he had playoff struggles. He hired Turner to get them through the playoffs. Will A.J. Smith ultimately look like a genius or a complete idiot?
Can you count on Adam Vinatieri?: Aside from the 6 INT's, special teams is the reason the Colts lost to the Chargers. Two return TD's allowed, as well as two missed field goals by Vinatieri. He had an awful year, and the question is, will Vinatieri make that key field goal if needed?
NY Giants at Dallas
Will the fumbled snap haunt Romo?: Obviously, this story really doesn't matter anymore. But the media will be quick to point out that the last playoff game he was in ended on a fumbled snap. I wonder if that was Jessica Simpson's fault? Ugh.
Which Eli will show up?: All of the media pressure is always on the quarterback, and more so on Eli. After an INT filled season, he was great against the Buccaneers. Will Eli play strong against Dallas, or will he fall apart?
Terrell Owens, will he play?: T.O. will get a ton of attention, but it won't be because of "antics." Owens is determined to play this week despite the high ankle sprain, but will he be at full strength, and how much will his injury effect the Dallas offense?
There's some of the story lines you'll hear this week. Feel free to add your own.
