There's a Dodger-themed neighborhood in the middle of Cardinals territory
It might be getting a bit awkward in the "Ebbets Field Estates" in Edwardsville, Ill., which is only a 25-minute drive from St. Louis.
Edwardsville is squarely in Cardinals territory, but as their beloved redbirds compete against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, the folks in this particular subdivision are living in a Dodger-themed nightmare.
They seem to be pretty good-natured about it, but it's still gotta be pretty tough living on roads like "Lasorda Lane" while you're trying to root for the Cardinals to beat Tommy Lasorda's Dodgers.
Apparently the developer was a huge Dodgers fan, and he decided to show that with his design for this neighborhood.
What do you think about this? Would you live in a neighborhood with an opposing team's motif? I'm pretty sure I'd never live in a Yankees-themed neighborhood, but I also assume that something like that would probably be attract all the wrong types of neighbors. But what if it weren't necessarily a bitter rival, and just a different team? Would you want to live in a spot like that?
