Dolphins fire Sparano

The Dolphins were expected to release Tony Sparano at the end of the season. According to reports from on Twitter, Sparano is out now, expected to be announced at 4:15 pm ET.

Miami started off  0-7. They did show signs of turning things around in the middle of the year, and there was some sentiment that perhaps Sparano could save his job. Then last Sunday happened and the Dolphins got whipped by the Eagles.

In four seasons with the Dolphins, Sparano has a 29-33 record.

Todd Bowles will be named as the interim head coach, Todd was/is currently the Dolphins secondary coach.

Sparano is the second NFL head coach to lose his job today, following Todd Haley with the Chiefs. Don't these things come in three's?

Funny Ya should mention that because  I've been saying that for A Very Long Time !!! He grew up Loving the Team, being involved  & It would have been A Natural Fit, The Little Shula continues ON !!! I Doubt He would want to Get Out of His Comfort Zone & Deal with ALL the 'Pressure' of Following in his Dad's Footsteps being with The Dolphins, having 'VERY High Expectation's' that would come along with it !!! Also, Having to Deal with The Organization that is 'No Where Near' the 'Quality Character' that it Used to be but Hey, Who Knows, Let's Get Him on the Horn, LOL !!!

Sparano's constant wearing of sunglasses, day game or night game and to press conferences, alone merited his dismissal.  But the upside is, now he and his sunglasses are free to make a go at some poker tournament...

Totally saw this coming..... they were about 98% ready to fire him last year and hire Jim Harbaugh.  Rumor was that Harbaugh didn't like the ownership of the 'fins.

Sparano had no chance after that debacle of an offseason where the Dolphins admitted to searching for a new coach while they had a coach under contract.
