As I'm sure you're well aware, the US Open is going on right now. And one of Nike's slogans for the Open is "The Grapple in the Apple" which refers to a potential Nadal v. Federer match-up.
Naturally, with a slogan that ridiculous, there's only one man worthy of promoting it. And that man would be Don King.
Now, while Nike hired King to promote the Grapple, I'm not exactly sure they hired him to promote it to a local Fox affiliate TV station in San Diego - while giving his opinion on the current political climate in the country, to boot. Seriously, this video interview above is weird beyond belief.
Why in God's name did the San Diego station agree to do this interview, which is essentially an open ad for Nike? Why is King even doing it? Why even ask him about the election in the first place? And why in the hell does King have Rafa and Nadal's heads on sticks?
Literally nothing about this video makes any sense. My brain hurts just watching this thing. Although I'm glad to see Fox News remains at the forefront of "news." Or whatever the hell this is (hint: It's not news).
