Sterling was recently banned for life from the NBA after a recording was released of him disparaging black people and other minorities.

The New York Post originally reported the news, and it seems like almost no one knew about it.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers was surprised to learn about the news, but said that he hopes it isn't true.

Point guard Chris Paul also hadn't heard about it before he was notified before last night's game, and he called it "truly unfortunate."

Blake Griffin said "if that is true, my thoughts and prayers are with him. Nobody deserves to go through something like that."

Okay, I don't wish cancer on anyone (although I, like many others, wished he would just "go away") but having cancer does not give someone the right to act like a total assh***.  And by many accounts, Sterling has been a racist for years, as has his estranged wife.  No free passes.

Does this really still fall under NBA news? He's banned for what's left of his life.
