I'm at home watching NESN (the New England Sports Network) and for today and tomorrow (Aug 14 and 15), they, along with WEEI 850 radio, are holding a radio telethon to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. The majority of the telethon is spent interviewing cancer patients and survivors, as well as many generous celebrities who have donated so much money. For the past 50+ years, the Jimmy Fund and the Red Sox have a relationship benefitting many cancer patients. I can't really go into details about both the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Center, but there is plenty of details on NESN.com, as well as redsox.com. If you would like to donate, call 877-738-1234.
