Double Vision

3/9/14 in NBA   |   pigskinfan   |   53 respect

Blog Photo - Double VisionI wouldn't admit it yesterday, but I can say it now that the dust has settled.  Yesterday was huge.  The results were going to be the difference between a winning and losing week.  So. hitting the "daily double" and cashing both tickets was a big deal.  It also allows me to start the month of March with a strong 8-4 week, going 3-3 in the NBA and 5-1 with college hoops.

After a stumble or two in the midweek, a strong close has the wind at my back.  Let's get to work on keeping that going.

THE NBA  (2-4 ATS/5-1 SU/4-2 TOTALS last night and 26-25/35-14/22-29 for the week)

BUTTA  (1-0 last night and 3-3 for the week)
Heat (-190) over BULLS - I'm sure that a 2-time defending champ in The Association has lost 3 straight games, but I don't expect that to happen to the Heat today.  There are a couple of reasons for this:  The first would be the fact that this is the national TV game, and The Champs are very good in that situation.  Maybe the most important factor, though, Is that LeBron was totally shackled by the Spurs.  As good as the Bulls are on defense, they are the squad that's going to have to pay for what happened in San Antonio.

Heat (-4 1/2, O188)   92 Thunder (-12, O229 1/2) 132
Nuggets   96 Pistons 106
PELICANS (-2, U214) 117 CELTICS (-1 1/2, O204 1/2) 109
Kings   93 Blazers 109
NETS (-7, U203) 104 ROCKETS (-6, O213 1/2) 116
Raptors (+5, O206 1/2) 107 Pacers   93
WOLVES 110 MAVS (+2, O196 1/2) 109
Suns   99
WARRIORS (-7 1/2, O213)       115

---You'll notice that I'm going against what my stat breakdown says for the Heat/BULLS game, but I'm not so sure I want to lay more than one possession in what should be a defensive game.
---I don't know if there will be a prop for it, but I wonder how many The Durantula will lay on the Lakers today.
---I'm not going to commit to it right now, but I think the TOTAL in the Blazers/ROCKETS matchup tonight is vulnerable to the OVER.  Possibly more to come on that one later.

COLLEGE HOOPS  (32-18 ATS/37-13 SU/26-24 TOTALS yesterday and 73-64/96-39/77-60 for the week)

BUTTA  (1-0 yesterday and 5-1 for the week)
It's nice to have options, but I'm not ready to jump in on the game that looks right to me yet.  Let's see how things go in Chicago.

Syracuse 66 Virginia 52
FLORIDA ST. (+2, O126) 68 MARYLAND (+4, U125) 50
Boston College 65 Wisconsin 68
N. CAROLINA ST. (-6 1/2, U143) 77 NEBRASKA (+2 1/2, O131) 72
Michigan St. 55 Northwestern 59
OHIO ST. (-2 1/2, O129 1/2) 73 PURDUE (-9, O123) 73
