Doug Anderson is a 6’6 specimen who plays for the Mott Community College Bears and destroyed his competition Thursday evening during the 2013 Denny’s College Slam Dunk Contest.
Anderson scored a perfect 40 in every round annihilating his opponents with dunk after dunk.
"Doug is an explosive dunker," said Demetrius Miller, Anderson's former teammate. "He shows up when the lights are on; he wanted to show off for the crowd. I saw it (him winning) coming from a long way. He's by far the best dunker I've ever seen. He's so explosive and takes his dunks so seriously. It's an amazing sight to see."
While Anderson may be criticized for playing at an inferior college level – not even D-1 – no one can critique his dunks. And there are some NBA players such as Shawn Kemp who have played for a junior college, before immediately jumping to the pros. And in a day and age, where scouts look to every corner of the world for a late steal in the second round, this national attention will only help scouts discover Anderson at a quicker pace.
