#17 Drake 79, Illinois St. 49 Impressive, I guess. I don't know what it is precisely, but I haven't been enamored by any of these MVC teams that will likely make the dance. Drake will obviously be a solid seed (6-7). Would you even pick them against a Kentucky?

#9 Texas 62, Oklahoma St 57 Longhorns win a 1-seed in the Big XII tourney, for what it's worth. Either way, a Kansas-Texas final seems inevitable, in a game that could decide who gets matched up with North Carolina or, say, Tennessee. Big difference as far as I'm concerned.

Penn State 68, Indiana 64 (OT) No excuse, but a case of the Hoosiers having very little to play for. Doesn't give you much confidence in a tourney run, but they'll be fine. Hoosiers will win the Big Ten Tournament.

Ohio State 62, #19 Michigan State 53 Ugh. Just when I thought the Spartans had shed their turnover illness, MSU went on a binge to end the game. The 18 fouls to 8 didn't help a whole lot either. Just 8 fouls?

Southern - Elon vs Davidson (9, ESPN2)
West Coast - Gonzaga vs San Diego (9, ESPN) Don't rule out SD, they're playing at home.

Time to study up for those first round upsets.
