Dream is Reality for Spurs flop Ramos

Dream is Reality for Spurs flop Ramos

Ramos
Ramos will take charge of Real against Zenit St Petesrburg tonight

JUande Ramos last night admitted he was living a 'dream' after being named coach of Real Madrid - less than two months after being sacked by Tottenham.

The former Sevilla boss has been handed an initial six-month deal at the Bernabeu after coach Bernd Schuster departed by mutual consent following a meeting with the club's board yesterday.

Ramos' appointment to one of the most prestigious posts in world football comes just 45 days after his stock appeared to have hit rock-bottom following his dismissal from Spurs - after he led the North London club to their worst-ever start to a season.

Lets take a close look at the situation. Juande Ramos perilous drama at White Hart Lane was a combination of key players being sold (now bought back), injuries and an unmotivated and divided dressing room. Add to the fact that Juande never got the best out of his squad because of language barrier ( his fault for being lazy as well to learn english) and he was unsettled to life in North London. Madrid contracted him for 6 months and he has repaid them with a 10 match winning streak scoring 22 goals and conceding only 2 in the process. You could say that he brought steel and bite to the squad and the aquisition of Lass was a brilliant piece of business. Indeed this appointment has been symbiotic with Madrid reducing a 12 point gap with Barcelona to 3 points in just 3 weeks and Juande's reputation skyrocketing. Although impressive in the league, his future there depends on silverware this season. Its that simple. With Madrid limping out of the Champions League and Florentino Perez expected to win the re election (bringing his own coach and players), it looks like Mr.Ramos still has a mountain to climb, one game at a time..
