Blog Photo - Duke Football: Blue Devils Are Legitimate ACC Title ContendersDuke became bowl eligible for the first time since 1994 with a dramatic 33-30 win over rival North Carolina Saturday night, improving its overall record to 6-2 (3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Senior quarterback Sean Renfree hooked up with sophomore receiver Jamison Crowder for a game-winning 5-yard touchdown pass with just 13 seconds left in the game.

Coach David Cutcliffe's told CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman during the offseason that he "one hundred percent guaranteed" an ACC title within the next five to six years. Little did he know that he'd be competing one in 2012.

The Blue Devils, who received their first win at home versus UNC for the first time in 14 seasons, lay atop the Coastal standings by a full game.

At this point, it looks as if Miami (3-2) and Virginia Tech (2-2) will be the two teams battling Duke for a spot in the conference championship game.

Although it still has to face No. 14 Florida State and No. 19 Clemson, Duke still has a good chance to at least play for its first outright ACC title since 1962.

Besides, it's not like the Hokies or Hurricanes are sure locks to win out from here. They've both had their fair share of struggles and aren't playing well lately, with a combined record of 2-6 since September 29.
