Dwight Howard Sets A New World Record For Longest Shot While Sitting Down
NBA

Dwight Howard Is Now A World Record Holder, In The Way You'd Probably Least Expect

During All Star Weekend, Dwight Howard set a record that no one would really have predicted him to set. He now will appear in the Guiness Book of World Records for the "longest basketball shot made while sitting down".

Howard's shot was 52'6", which it probably farther than I can make a shot standing up. That being said, this is pretty much the last world record I would have expected him to break. Now, I think he should try setting a record for making change off the top of the backboard.

It was fun to watch these record attempts on NBA TV during the All-Star game practice sessions. Stat set the record for most half court shots made in less than a minute by a man wearing a scarf.

This world record will also appear in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not". Just saying.

To bad it wasn't in a game when he set the world record.
