After losing to the Golden State Warriors 109-103 Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers were not only bruised emotionally, but physically as well. Dwight Howard received a flying elbow into the face when David Lee went flying into him elbow first during the second quarter. Howard received three stitches and a technical foul after voicing his displeasure to Lee.
"He got away with a shot," Howard said. "I will remember this game. I will remember that shot. He said he wasn't trying to do it. You can look at the play and see it for yourself. I will take care of it later."
Lee, however, denies any attempt at hurting Howard in a premeditative fashion. "I was just trying to go up and finish against a shot block," Lee said.
The Warriors play the Lakers once more this season at Los Angeles on Friday, April 12th, so stay tuned for the Howard vs. Lee smackdown.
