Dwight Howard booed in return to Staples Center against the Lakers

The relationship between Dwight Howard and Lakers fans is amazing

He was to be the heir apparent for Kobe Bryant, the one to usher them into a new era of championships.

Things don't always work out the way you expect them to, and Howard's time in LA was a huge disappointment.

Now he's in Houston, but Lakers fans haven't forgotten about him.

Nor has he forgotten about them.

Last night, Howard and the Rockets visited the Staples Center and beat the Lakers 134-108. Howard was a big reason for the win, with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks.

It was a fun night for Howard, to say the least.

Lakers fans booed him at every opportunity:

They also started a "Howard Sucks" chant, prompting Dwight to join them.

Howard and his teammates reenacted the chant on the bus after the game:

My favorite moment, however, may have been when a Lakers fan left Dwight hanging for a high five. Well played, good sir. Well played:
