Dwyane and Siohvaughn Wade separated in 2010, but their problems have continued this weekend.
This Saturday, Siohvaughn showed up at Dwyane’s Chicago home and was charged with several misdemeanors, including two counts of child abduction. After Wade won custody over their two sons, Siohvaughn has continually tried to pry away the children from Dwyane.
After the incident, Wade’s attorney, James Pritikin, immediately filed a motion to suspend Siohvaughn’s visitation rights. The two boys were then picked up by Dwyane’s sister and immediately flown to Miami to be with their father.
Wade said he goes to bed every night and wakes up every morning, thinking about one thing, what’s best for his kids. He said, the days of thinking about himself, are long gone.
Wade also told the Associated Press, "That's what mattered most to me, getting them here to be with me on Father's Day."
None of the drama from this weekend seemed to effect Wade on the court, but let's hope that it won't effect him off-the-court either. Because at the end of the day, when the parents are always fighting against each other, it's the kids that end up being the losers.
